Join us for dinner

A Christ-centered compassionate community for those who've given up on church but not on God.

Our Mission

To Glorify Jesus Christ by cultivating community and practicing compassion.

Glorifying Jesus Christ

Refuge gathers weekly to worship Jesus as a community. We worship Jesus in prayer, song, Bible teaching, and a fellowship meal along with communion.

And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers... And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.

-Acts 2:42;46-47

Cultivating Community

Refuge cultivates meaningful community relationships that center on Jesus and love for one another by worshipping and serving together.

Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God. -Hebrews 13:16

'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” - Mark 12:31

Practicing Compassion

Refuge practices compassion by extending grace as people explore the faith and serving those who are in need.

“Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” -Matthew 9:14

“What I am doing you do not understand now, but afterward you will understand.” -John 13:7

But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. -James 1:21-23

We take Jesus’ words seriously that we are to love Him and our neighbor. Refuge Church seeks to glorify Jesus by studying His Word, obeying His commands, and making disciples.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.

—Matthew 28:19-20

And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

—Mark 12:30-31
